Town Centre 'Experience Tamworth' Business Grant

Item returning following consideration at Committee on the 19th June 2024 with further information as requested.

Minutes:

Report of the Portfolio Holder for Infrastructure, Heritage and Local Economy / Assistant Director - Growth & Regeneration to enable Members to consider grant applications for the Council’s Tamworth Town Centre ‘Experience Tamworth’ Business Grant Scheme.

 

RESOLVED:

The grants were made as follows

 

 

Moat House

Granted £10,000.00 with the condition that once irrigation system is installed officers work with the business to promote the area and utilize for events.

Julie Anne Florist

Granted revised amount £7,000.00 with the condition that

an external catering company is provided and Officers from Business Support and Arts & Events provide support and advice to the project

Fallen From Grace

provisionally approved revised amount £5,000.00

can only be granted if either of the confirmed applications no longer need their granted amount

The Chair thanked Officers for the work in the report.  Committee members asked if Officers could provide support for businesses that are applying for grants.  Officer agreed to look at sourcing external training for businesses applying for grants so there was no conflict of interest.
