RESOLVED that Councillor C Bain was elected as Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Minutes:

The minutes of the meeting held on 15th March 2023 were approved and signed as a correct record.

Minutes:

Councillor Richard Kingstone declared an interest in two applications.

 

Masonic Rooms application and New Urban Era and did not vote on these two applications.

Report of the Assistant Director, Partnerships to agree grant applications to the Council’s Community Grant Scheme.

Towards the cost of a volunteer co-ordinator role for 12 months to recruit and train volunteers for the Time Out project.

 

 

Radio Tamworth

Running the running costs of radio station.

New Urban Era

£2000

Grant awarded towards match funding an award from Arts Council England to deliver the Creative Community Tamworth project 2023.

 

 

Tamworth Masonic Rooms

£5000

Funding towards the overall costs of building an extension to improve disabled access and to create an additional storage place for Community groups to store equipment.

 

A condition of the grant will be that the Grants & Funding Officer includes a minimum number of meeting room hire days over a 12-month period that community groups can use the meeting room space free of charge With the agreement of grant.
