The minutes of the meeting held on 13th March 2018 were approved and signed as a correct record.

To receive any declarations of Members’ interests (pecuniary and non-pecuniary) in any matters which are to be considered at this meeting.

 

When Members are declaring a pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in respect of which they have dispensation, they should specify the nature of such interest.  Members should leave the room if they have a pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in respect of which they do not have a dispensation.

I will read out a text from the Mayor Councillor John Chesworth

 

‘Good evening fellow members I am sorry to say that I cannot be with you tonight as I am currently at the Queens Medical Centre , Nottingham where my youngest daughter has today undergone a minor medical procedure.  There are only a few things that I would put ahead of the ‘State of the Borough’ but I’m sure that you will appreciate that on this occasion she definitely wins.  Have a good meeting and some healthy debate and I will see you soon’.

(Report of the Leader of the Council)

 

 

The debate will be broken into three parts. Each topic will be 40 minutes and each Councillor can speak once for 5 minutes maximum.

 

The Leader of the Council will do a 2 minute introduction to each item. These are consistently the important issues to our residents.

 

·         Living a Quality Life in Tamworth

·         Growing Stronger Together in Tamworth

·         Delivering Quality Services in Tamworth

 

This will leave roughly 25 minutes at the end of the meeting for any motions, agreement or further review of any topic.

The Leader of the Council informed Members of the three themes being discussed, Living a Quality Life in Tamworth, Growing Stronger Together in Tamworth and Delivering Quality Services in Tamworth.

 

Following the debate the following motion was approved

 

RESOLVED:

That members requested

 

 

that the Leader send an email to all employees on behalf of all Councillors thanking them for all the work that they do to contribute towards the operation of the Council.
