Declarations of Interest

To receive any declarations of Members’ interests (pecuniary and non-pecuniary) in any matters which are to be considered at this meeting.

 

When Members are declaring a pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in respect of which they have dispensation, they should specify the nature of such interest.  Members should leave the room if they have a pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in respect of which they do not have a dispensation. 

Minutes:

Councillor C Cooke declared a Personal Interest in Item 22 of the agenda, his father Chris Cooke being a nominee for Alderman. Accordingly he left the Chamber during consideration of the following item

Alderman Nomination - Chris Cooke (Senior)

To consider conferring the title of Honorary Alderman on Chris Cooke (Senior) a past member of the Council under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, in recognition of his eminent services to the Council whilst he was a member of the Council

Minutes:

RESOLVED:

That pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council in recognition of his services admit the title of Alderman of the Borough to Chris Cooke (Senior)

Alderman Nomination - Peter Seekings

To consider conferring the title of Honorary Alderman on Peter Seekings a past member of the Council under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, in recognition of his eminent services to the Council whilst he was a member of the Council

RESOLVED:

That pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council in recognition of his services admit the title of Alderman of the Borough to Peter Seekings
