Development: Phase 3 – Reserved matters application for the construction of 269 dwellings and associated landscaping and public open space

 

Location: Former Municipal Golf Course, Eagle Drive, Amington, Tamworth

 

As well as the issues identified in the Issues Paper Members raised the following matters to be considered:-

 

1.    Details of the materials used for the apartments could include the use of render

2.    Services to the apartments should be hidden/disguised so that they do not adversely affect the appearance of the development

3.    Bin stores should be designed in an attractive manner, using robust materials, and should be secure

4.    Connections into the local nature reserve should be identified

5.    Footpath and cycleway linkages should be provided in accordance with the agreed masterplan

6.    Consideration should be given to creating distinct character areas, with landmark buildings to aid legibility for residents and visitors to the development

7.    Consideration should be given to the realignment of roads to create visual interest and assist in reducing vehicle speeds thereby improving highway safety

8.    It should be demonstrated that a refuse vehicle, of the size used by the Lichfield and Tamworth Joint Refuse Service, can be accommodated by the submission of tracked path details

9.    Parking provision should accord with adopted standards
